Uddhav First Thackeray Member To Become Chief Minister
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will be the first member of the Thackeray family to become Maharashtra Chief Minister.
On Tuesday, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari invited Uddhav Thackeray to form the government after Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress combine claimed to form the government. Uddhav Thackeray will take oath as Chief Minister at 6.40 pm on November 28 at Shivaji Park.
Thackeray was elected the leader of Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance at a meeting of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress MLAs at Trident Hotel on Tuesday. Later in the evening, the delegation of MVA came to meet the Governor and submitted a letter of support to the MLAs, claiming to form the government in the state. After receiving the letter of support from the MLAs, the governor invited Uddhav Thackeray to form the government. Thackeray then went to Balasaheb's room in Matoshri to pay tribute to him. He will be the 29th CM of the state after taking oath as Chief Minister on Thursday. Watch the full report here:
