Indian Test Squad For South Africa Series Announced
BCCI has announced 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming test series against South Africa.
After the poor show against the West Indies, the selectors have decided to drop KL Rahul and include Shubman Gill. The selectors have also decided to try Rohit Sharma as an opener in the longer format.
India’s squad for 3 Tests: Virat Kohli (Captain), Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (Wicket-keeper), Wriddhiman Saha (Wicket-keeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Shubman Gill. The first Test against South Africa will be played in Visakhapatnam from October 2 before the teams travel to Pune for the second Test from October 10.
