IPL 2022: Despite New Skippers; CSK, MI, RCB Lost Their Debut Match
IPL 2022 demonstrates the power of the new. RCB Defeat PBKS
Punjab Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets on Sunday in the Indian Premier League.
Punjab chased down a massive target of 205 runs with six balls to spare in a thrilling high-scoring match. Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa each struck 43 runs as Punjab reached 208 for 5 in 19 overs. Shah Rukh Khan and Odeon Smith remained unbeaten on 24 and 25 respectively.
Mohammad Siraj was the most successful bowler for RCB, with a score of 2/59.
RCB scored 205 for 2 in their first innings after being asked to bat first. Faf du Plessis scored 88 runs off 57 balls, while Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 41 runs in a 118-run partnership for the second wicket.
Dinesh Karthik produced a fast 32-run innings in 14 balls. Punjab Kings' Rahul Chahar and Arshdeep Singh each claimed one wicket.
