T20 Match Between India & Bangladesh Amid Alarming
The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and Bangladesh will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, amid growing pollution.

This is the first match after the renaming of the stadium. Earlier, it was called the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

The risk of pollution in Delhi is so high that some Bangladeshi players practised wearing anti-pollution masks. Meanwhile, the BCCI has given a clean chit for organising matches in Delhi.

The level of pollution in Delhi has increased so much that in some areas, the Air Quality Index (AQI) has crossed 500.

If the level of pollution remains high during the match, then players of both teams and umpires could also be seen with masks on the field.

The match will start at 7 p.m. Rohit Sharma will be the India captain in the T20 series.

While all-rounder Shivam Dubey has been given a chance for the first time in the team, Kerala’s Sanju Samson returns to the team after four years. Virat Kohli has been rested for the T20 series.

If we take a look at figures, India and Bangladesh have played a total of 8 T20 matches and all matches have been won by India. Only one match has been played between the two teams in India and in this match, India beat Bangladesh by 1 run.

Even though India seems like the stronger side according to statistics, Bangladesh has often beaten many big teams in the past.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has been dealt a heavy blow before the series. The ICC has banned Shaqib al Hasan, captain of Bangladesh’s Test and T20 teams, for two years.
