Print Media Takes A Beating Over The Last Decade
In a tectonic shift in the Media and Entertainment landscape this decade, three print media organisations (HT Media, DB Corporation and Jagran Prakashan) are out of the list of top 10 media firms by revenue.

The three print media behemoths have been replaced in the top 10 list by Google India, Tata Sky and PVR Cinemas.

Times Group, which topped the list in FY 2010 with a revenue of Rs 5,000 crore, slipped to the third spot in FY 2019 at Rs 10,000 crore.

Zee Group, on the other hand, placed second in FY 2010 with a revenue of Rs 4,009 crore clinched the top spot in FY 2019 with a revenue of Rs 16,495 crore.

Star India, which held the third position during FY 2010 with a revenue of Rs 3,525 crore, jumped to the second stop in FY 2019 with a revenue of Rs 11,956 crore.

Print giants Hindustan Media, Dainik Bhaskar Corporation and Jagran Prakashan which featured in the top 10 list in FY 2010, no longer feature in the top 10 list at the end of the decade.
