'Big B' Turns 77

At the age of 77, when there is no trace of his fellow actors, Amitabh Bachchan has kept the flag of his success flying. The art of dealing with the ups and downs of life can be learnt from Bachchan.T 3314 - My immense gratitude and gratefulness to them that send their wishes for the 11th .. After a lot of struggle in the film industry, he got his first film ‘Saat Hindustani’ in 1969 but it was a flop. In 1971 came ‘Anand’ for which he was given the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award. Fate took a turn for the better and Amitabh Bachchan became a superstar.
But destiny did a somersault and in 1982, during the shooting of the film ‘Coolie’, he was severely wounded and almost died. In 1984, Bachchan took a break from acting and entered politics. He was good friends with Rajiv Gandhi. He contested the Lok Sabha elections from Allahabad and won with a heavy majority. But after three years, he quit politics, calling it a lake of dirty water. Then his name figured in the Bofors scam. He faced ignominy but the court declared him innocent. He turned to movies but things were not the same as earlier. His films began failing. He formed a company ABCL with his brother Ajitabh but he suffered so many losses that he had to almost auction off his house. While climbing the ladder of success, he fell down once more and turned towards the Samajwadi Party. But he came out of the debt at last. Then began one more comeback of Amitabh Bachchan. This time, he made TV his medium. Crorepati became a hit, life took a turn for the better. He began getting films and the films were successful. The same passion for his voice and acting style returned. The number of his fans began increasing. In Kolkata, there is a temple where ‘Har Har Amitabh’ and ‘Jai Shri Amitabh’ is written. He has lakhs of followers on Twitter. At the age of 77, the fact that he can work for long hours makes one wonder. Wishes poured in on Twitter:On Amitabh Bachchan's 77th birthday, it's useful to remember that this actor with the greatest body of work didn't start his career till he was 28 and didn't have a hit film as hero for his first 4 years, his 1st hit being Zanjeer.
