1,211 New Cases In 24 Hours, India COVID-19 Cases
The biggest spike so far in the number of coronavirus patients has been registered in the country.

According to the latest data, with 1,211 new patients being found in the last 24 hours, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has crossed 10,000.

According to the Health Ministry, while 10,363 people have contracted the coronavirus in the country, the death toll has reached 339.

While 1,035 patients have been discharged from the hospital, 8,988 patients are still undergoing treatment in the hospital.

These figures are important because India has now reached near South Korea in terms of coronavirus patients while it has overtaken South Korea with regard to coronavirus deaths.

The total number of patients in South Korea at the moment is 10,564 and 222 people have succumbed to the coronavirus there till now.

South Korea is among those countries where the largest number of patients had been found after the infection spread in China.

In January, apart from China, the countries most affected by the coronavirus had been Italy, Iran and South Korea.

However, South Korea has almost contained the coronavirus epidemic and its model is being talked about across the world. But the condition of other countries has deteriorated.

In India, coronavirus figures have reached worrying levels.
