131 New Cases Take Corona Infected Numbers Over 17
An escalation in the number of coronavirus patients in the country continues. According to the latest figures of the Health Ministry, 131 new cases have come to light in the last 12 hours.

After this, the number of active patients stands at 1764. While 151 people have been discharged after treatment, 50 people have died so far.


The coronavirus has taken 29 states of the country in its grip. The number of patients has also increased rapidly in several states.

According to Andhra Pradesh Nodal Officer Arja Srikanth, after 21 new cases were reported, the total number of coronavirus patients in the state has increased to 132. 

Lakhs of people live in the Dharavi slum in Mumbai. After a patient was found here too, the administration has developed cold feet. However, the patient died while undergoing treatment at a Sion hospital. 

After three new patients were found, the total number of patients in Maharashtra has reached 338.

Medical services in Mumbai are also being impacted because of coronavirus patients. Chembur’s Sai Hospital has been sealed. Meanwhile, Jaslok’s Saifee Hospital, Bhabha Hospital and Hinduja Hospital have been partially affected. 

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, economic activities in the country are almost paralysed.

Amid this, private schools in Chhattisgarh are sending messages to parents to deposit school fees. State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that putting pressure on parents to deposit fees under these circumstances is not appropriate. All schools have been instructed to postpone the work of fees recovery for the duration of the lockdown.
