Trump: Killing Of Soleimani To End War With Iran, Not To Start It
Following the death of Iran’s chief commander General Qasem Soleimani, U.S. President Donald Trump has adopted a very aggressive stance on the action taken by America. He has said that America is on alert about the safety of its citizens and if Iran harms any American citizen, then the U.S. is ready to take whatever action is needed.
He also said that America took action not to start a war with Iran but to end it. Trump also said that Soleimani was planning several terrorist attacks and that instead of yesterday, he should have taken action against Soleimani earlier.
Issuing a warning, Trump said, “We have the best military and the best intelligence anywhere in the world. If Americans are threatened, we are prepared to respond.” With the death of Soleimani, who was the chief commander of Iran’s Quds Force, in the American strike, tensions in many countries, including in the Middle East, have heightened. Iran has declared three-day national mourning following the assassination of its chief commander and also issued a warning to America. After the death of Soleimani in an airstrike in Baghdad, Iran has announced the appointment of deputy chief Ismail Kayani as the new commander of the Quds Force. Meanwhile, several US senators have said that this attack will imperil the lives of American citizens. Watch the full report here:
