MP: Judge, Son Die Under Suspicious Circumstances
An Additional District Judge and his son died under suspicious circumstances in Madhya Pradesh's Betul.

After an initial investigation, Betul police claimed that the judge Mahendra Kumar Tripathi and his elder son died due to mixing poisonous food in the food or it could be a case of food poisoning. At present, the police have sealed the official house of the judge.

The health of ADJ and his two sons suddenly deteriorated after dinner on 21 July. On the basis of the preliminary investigation, doctors had told that all three people have become victims of food poisoning. After treatment at home, the younger son also recovered, but on July 23, the condition of 56-year-old Additional District Judge Mahendra Kumar Tripathi and his 33-year-old son Abhiyan Raj Tripathi worsened.

Both were hurriedly referred to Alexis Hospital in Nagpur on 25 July but on the way elder son Abhiyan Raj Tripathi succumbed and the next day Judge Mahendra Kumar Tripathi also died in the hospital.

According to Betul's additional SP, Shraddha Joshi, on July 20, the magistrate and his two sons had eaten rotis while his wife had eaten only rice. Since the judge's wife is perfectly healthy, it is believed that there was something wrong with the bread. According to SDOP Vijay Punj, the flour was delivered to the judge's house by someone who knew him.
