MP: Rain Spoils Hundreds Of Quintals Of Wheat

This year, Madhya Pradesh saw a bumper production of wheat, however, no arrangements were made to protect it from rain.

This is the reason behind wheat and gram produce are getting rotten due to rain.

In Shajapur district, several quintals of wheat, which were stored in more than 30 different procurement centres got drenched. Surprisingly, the district administration did not take stock of the situation and now wheat has started If it wasn't weren't kept properly, it's the responsibility of concerned Society.If it wasn't transported on time, action to be taken. Recently, the gram produce kept under the open sky in Shajapur market was also damaged.

This year, wheat production in the country has been a record 107.17 million tonnes. About 90 per cent of the country's total wheat production has been in six states which include Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, but due to the negligence of the states, wheat is not only getting wet but also is rotting and sprouting.
