‘No One Safe In UP’: Priyanka Gandhi On Lab Technician Murdered After Being Kidnapped

The case of Kanpur encounter in Uttar Pradesh had not even cooled down now that another murder has caused a sensation. Sanjit Yadav, a lab technician in the district, was kidnapped and murdered and his body was thrown into the Pandu River. Five accused involved in this case of kidnapping and murder have been arrested by the Kanpur police while the body of Sanjit Yadav is being recovered from the Pandu River.

According to Kanpur IG Mohit Agarwal, among the five accused arrested are friends of Sanjeet who was the mastermind of kidnapping, extortion and murder. The role of two women, in this case, has also been revealed. The incident is from Barra police station area of ​​Kanpur, in charge of Ranjit Rai has been suspended. According to the police, Sanjit was abducted on 22 June and he was murdered on 27 June.

Sanjit Yadav's family alleges that a ransom call for Rs 30 lakh came to him on 29 June. The family alleges that by selling home jewellery and collecting the money deposited for the daughter's wedding, Rs 30 lakh was raised, which was given to the kidnappers on July 13 in the presence of police. However, IG Mohit Aggarwal and SSP Dinesh Kumar claimed in a press conference that the kidnappers have not received the ransom money.

Relatives of the victim (Sanjeev Yadav) are claiming that they have given the ransom amount of Rs 30 lakh to the kidnappers.
