4th T20: India Snatched Win From New Zealand In An
India has defeated New Zealand during the ‘super over’ in the fourth T20 match played at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium on Friday. 

Batting first during the ‘super over’, New Zealand made 13 runs at the loss of one wicket. This over was bowled by Jasprit Bumrah. India needed 14 runs to win the match, which it made in just five balls at the loss of one wicket.


Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur, who bowled economically and took two (the most) wickets for India, was chosen as Player of the Match.

Earlier, after winning the toss, New Zealand had invited India to bat first. India made 165 runs in the determined 20 overs at the loss of eight wickets. Manish Pandey scored the most runs for India at 50 runs not out, including three boundaries (fours) on 36 balls. 

While spinner Ish Sodhi took three wickets for New Zealand (the most), Hamish Bennett took two wickets.

Chasing a total of 166 runs, New Zealand could make just 165 runs in 20 overs at the loss of seven wickets and the match ended in a tie. Colin Munro made 64 runs, the highest for New Zealand, with the help of three sixes and six fours.

With this victory, India has scored a 4-0 lead in the five-match T20 series. The fifth and final match of the series will be played at Tauranga’s Bay Oval stadium on Sunday, February 2.
