England Beat Ireland By 6 Wickets In First ODI

England beat Ireland by 6 wickets with 22.1 overs to spare in the 1st ODI in Southampton on Thursday.

Put in to bat first, Ireland were bundled out for 172 in 44.4 overs. Debutant Curtis Campher scored an unbeaten 59 and was highest scorer from the Irish team. David Willey took career-best 5/30.

In reply, England were 78/4 at one stage. However, Billings (67*) and Morgan (36*) put on a 96-run stand to take the home team to victory.
