India-Pakistan Combined XI
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar picked his all-time India-Pakistan combined Test XI. He included some of the legends of the game like Kapil Dev, Wasim Akram, Imran Khan and Sachin Tendulkar among others in his XI. However, no modern-day greats like Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni found a place in Gavaskar's combined India-Pakistan side.

Interacting with former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja on a TV show, Gavaskar chose Virender Sehwag and the legendary Pakistan batsman, Hanif Mohammad, as the openers followed by Pakistan's Zaheer Abbas and India's Sachin Tendulkar at No.3 and 4 respectively.

Gavaskar picked legendary Gundappa Viswanath and 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev at number 5 and 6. He included Imran Khan at number 7 as the second all-rounder in the side. While he picked Syed Kirmani as the wicket-keeper in his combined India-Pakistan Test XI, Gavaskar's bowling attack comprised of legends like Wasim Akram, B.S. Chandrasekhar and Abdul Qadir.
