Dish TV To Launch Android TV-Based Set-Top-Box

With consumers spending more time watching online video content, over-the-top (OTT) platforms are vying for the top spot and have maximum subscribers. Now, direct-to-home (DTH) operators have also entered the race to lure subscribers with the launch of android set-top-box.

DTH major Dish TV India is planning to launch android set-top boxes in the next few weeks, which will stream online content from OTT apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar. Thus, letting the consumers switch between watching cable TV or videos on these apps. Thanks to the changing scenario in entertainment space.

This Android TV set-top-box may be priced over Rs 3,000 similar to Airtel Xstream Box. It may be launched before Diwali with attractive offers.

With the new Android TV-based set-top-box, Dish TV is looking to give a tough fight to Reliance JioFiber and Airtel Xstream box.
