Dolby Set To Give Cinematic Experience On OTT Plat
Now, viewers can enjoy cinema style sound on their mobiles. The American company Dolby is now planning to give its visual and sound technology to OTT platforms. Once that is done, you can enjoy 3D sound while watching videos on your mobile.

For the time being, Eros Now is part of this deal, in which movies like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Manmarziyaan’ and ‘Action Jackson’ are available in Dolby Atmos. Till now, Dolby has installed 500 Dolby Atmos screens in India. Apart from Eros Now, Dolby has put forth the proposal of its sound technology to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Voot, Sun Next and YuppTV.


Currently, there are 10 streaming services on which videos are shown in Dolby Vision. These include Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ and many other platforms. And now, you will also experience Dolby Atmos on these platforms.

According to media reports, Dolby Managing Director Pankaj Kedia has said that mobile phones are becoming the pivot of entertainment in India and so, he is trying to provide a cinematic experience to viewers on their mobile phones.

A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report reveals that in the last two years, the consumption of digital videos in India has doubled. The time spent watching digital videos in a day has increased from 11 minutes to 24 minutes.
