CAA Protests: FIR Against 10,000 AMU Students
Delhi Police had barged into the library of Jamia Millia Islamia University and fired tear gas and resorted to baton charge on Jamia students. On the night of December 15, violence had broken out on AMU campus as police and paramilitary personnel entered the campus and resorted to baton charge. Several students are still seriously injured and admitted to hospitals after the police action. Several videos of police action at AMU campus have gone viral. In these videos, police personnel can be seen damaging vehicles parked on the campus. However, instead of probing these charges, Aligarh police has accused 10,000 unidentified students in its FIR. Earlier, Aligarh police had registered a case against 1,200 AMU students for taking out a candlelight vigil on campus.
