State-Wise Break Up Of Coronavirus Cases And Deaths

The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 53,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,800. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Thursday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 52,952 and there are 35,902 active cases now. 

While 1,783 people have lost their lives so far, 15,266 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 651, where 16,758 cases have come to light and 3,094 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 396 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,500 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 6,625.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 185 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,138 and 1,099 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 144 people have lost their lives so far. While 364 people have recovered here, 1,456 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 92 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,596 people have recovered here, 3,317 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 65 deaths. A total of 5,532 cases have been reported here and 1,542 patients have recovered.

There have been 60 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 2,998 cases have been reported and 1,130 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 36 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,717 and 729 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 35 people have died. While 1,516 people have been discharged, 4,829 people are infected.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,107 people have contracted the virus, 628 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 29 people have died, with 693 cases and 354 recoveries have been reported.

There have been 27 deaths in Punjab. While 135 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,516.

In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people have lost their lives so far. While 322 people have recovered, 775 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported seven deaths, 260 recoveries and 594 coronavirus cases.

There have been four deaths each in Kerala and Bihar. While 469 people have recovered in Kerala, 188 have been discharged in Bihar. Total cases stand at 503 in Kerala and 542 in Bihar.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 127 cases and 37 recoveries.  

In Himachal Pradesh and Odisha, there have been two deaths in each state. Odisha has 185 cases and 61 recoveries, Himachal has 38 recoveries and 45 cases.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Uttarakhand, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
